- th / 0 20 20 69 v 1 2 1 Fe b 20 02 From meson - and photon - nucleon scattering to vector mesons in nuclear matter

چکیده

We present a relativistic and unitary approach to pion-and photon-nucleon scattering taking into account the πN , ρN , ωN , ηN , π∆, KΛ and KΣ channels. Our scheme dynamically generates the sand d-wave nucleon resonances N in terms of quasi-local two-body interaction terms. We obtain a fair description of the experimental data relevant for slow vector-meson propagation in nuclear matter. The s-wave ρ-and ω-meson nucleon scattering amplitudes, which define the leading density modification of the ρ-and ω-meson spectral functions in nuclear matter, are predicted.

Using the Dirac-Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov approximation to study nuclear pairing, we have found the short-range correlations of the Dirac 1 S 0 pairing fields to be essentially identical to those of the two-nucleon virtual state at all values of the baryon density. We make use of this fact to develop a relativistic separable potential that correctly describes the pairing fields.
